Well we got our first trip of the 2012 season under our belt, with everything going well. Great group of people, perfect weather for April and the boat preformed just as it should. First trip is always like shooting a dart, so with that said we covered some of the regular April fishing grounds as planned, some shallow and some deep didn't really make a difference, not much of a sign of haddock, some small cod and plenty of red fish, which are smaller fillets but they do add up. Game plan for the next couple of trips is checking different pieces of bottom, last year it took three days to get settled on good groups of haddock and the year before the first trip was one stop lock and load fishing so you never know. The schedule is wed Fri sat and Sundays and Monday April 16th we do have an all day trip, every Monday there after is a marathon, call for reservations and rail position. As always please call and make a reservation, although crowding is not a problem we also would like to be able to get in touch with everyone in case of bad weather and a cancellation. Next trip Wednesday with plenty of room leaving at 7:30 -4:30 ride time to the ledge is only one hour and for those cold days there is heat in the cabin with seating for 100 inside so no one has to be cold outside.
