Well we got our first trip of the 2011 season under our belt, weather was perfect with just a breeze and no sea pretty much as nice as it can be for this time of year. Few haddock mixed in with lots of reds for the day , not the wide open haddock bite we hoped for but it usually takes a trip or two to figure it out. We did have a fair showing of cod, mostly sublegal but promising for next weeks cod opener. Well try another part of the ledge tommorrow. Plenty of room on the trips with a second boat going in the beginning of the week.
