The Captains Lady III had a good morning bite that lasted till about 1, and produced some nice haddock around nine pounds and lots of market cod caught on jigs. High hook was Wess with 13 and the pool fish , plenty right on his heels. The Captains Lady II,on the Abott charter had a great run in the morning with lots of nice haddock on the bait and plenty of market cod for the guys jigging, with Mike getting the pool with a 17 lb cod and Scott with high hook of 15.The Captains Lady had the Arwood charter and had a slow pick of market cod in the morning and decided to come inside and try for a few big ones. They managed to get a 35lb cod and a 22lb and a bunch of markets. Looks like the big ones are here again and we will probably be making stops inside to catch some whether on the way out or in, depends on the fishing reports from the ledge and inside. Looks like it could be a good couple of weeks to come and try for the big one.
P.S.Our 1/2 days start next weekend call for dates and times, we will be fishing cod and mackerel while those fish are inside.
